Riad Mammadov is a pianist and composer with a deep passion for both classical and contemporary music, as well as a dedicated explorer and ambassador of Mugham and Jazz Mugham.
Intro
Born and raised in Baku, Riad received an European education at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, so his life and work flow between two cultures.
The East and the West have always been connected in his music, creating a deep philosophical dialogue that has lasted for centuries.

Striving to fulfil this challenging goal Riad engages in composing and performing in a skillfully twisted style of classical, jazz, Mugham poetry spiced by his personal creation.

Riad is the laureate of international festivals and competitions in Azerbaijan, Belgium, Canada, France, Russia and Sweden. He’s also known for his work with Teodor Currentzis and the musicAeterna orchestra.
